The Alchemist’s Harvest: Autumn Begins in BellaVille
Handcrafted relics, a lantern-lit world, a Hedge Witch, and music for the changing season.
This autumn has begun with my hands full of fabric, pearls, keys, moss, and gold. Before the next chapter of BellaVille has been written, pieces of its world have already found their way into the physical one.
The Alchemist’s Harvest — Gilded Edition is taking shape through handcrafted relic collections, set design, costume, music, and the first glimpses of BellaVille’s autumn atmosphere. Some of that work is now waiting in a gift shop. Some comes alive after dark. Some can be carried home through a song.
The Relics Have Arrived
The first fourteen numbered relic collections have been delivered to Riverside Entertainment’s Gift Shop.
These are small gatherings of handcrafted objects: woodland mushrooms, embellished witch hats, cauldrons, ghosts, curious baubles, pumpkins, and antique-inspired keys. Cream and pearl sit beside burgundy velvet, black lace, and aged gold. There are details tucked beneath caps, suspended inside glass, and layered into surfaces—little discoveries that reward a closer look.
The packaging is part of the experience, too. Tissue, moss, ribbon, tags, and wax seals give each collection the feeling of something gathered and carefully kept.
Each box has a handwritten Relic number that corresponds with the collection’s listing on my website. If you encounter one in the shop, you can look up its contents and price in the online inventory.
After Dark: The Gilded Keeper
Alongside the collection, I have been preparing my Hedge Witch role for Riverside’s Warehouse of Fear.
I call her The Gilded Keeper.
Her costume grew through layers of cream and brown, a veil, pearls, and small keys. I wanted her to feel weathered, watchful, and connected to the things she keeps. Beneath the theatrical setting, my intention for her is benevolent—a private thread of care running through a character whose job is to startle people.
Her space has been built around the actual path visitors take. They emerge from a hearse, climb a ramp, and cross a small wooden bridge before reaching my scene. Working with that movement meant considering sightlines, shadows, texture, and the moment when someone finally notices me.
The set changed as I worked within its available space. Curtains, foliage, aged paper, cauldrons, light, and gathered objects helped turn the alcove into a place with its own atmosphere. Costume and setting became parts of the same composition.
Now that the haunt has begun, visitors have added an unexpected layer. From the bridge, some have debated whether I am a person or an animatronic.
“That one could be real.”
There is something wonderful about hearing that while sitting perfectly still inside a world you helped build. For a few seconds, the costume, room, and performance have persuaded someone to look twice.
An Autumn Soundtrack
Music is another part of this season’s unfolding work.
My new fall album on Suno brings sound into the atmosphere I have been building through objects and images. I think of music as another doorway into a world: it can change the light in a room, bring a memory closer, or give a feeling somewhere to live.
The album belongs alongside the relics, the costume, and BellaVille’s changing landscape. It offers another way to spend time with the season, whether you are making something, traveling after dark, or simply watching the afternoon light fade.
BellaVille Turns Toward Autumn
The BellaVille website is changing with the season.
A new autumn crest brings together a gilded pumpkin, curling ivy, orange leaves, burgundy roses, and ivory mushrooms. The imagery is moving toward warm woodland paths, old rooms, carefully wrapped treasures, and amber light. Tharia and her Atelier have also received new artwork, bringing her working world into closer harmony with the rest of the site.
This is the beginning of the seasonal changeover. The physical collection has arrived first; the stories and companion pieces will grow around it.
What Comes Next
The developing third chapter of Through the Looking Sphere, The Harvest of the Unseen, turns toward BellaVille’s northern Archives.
Its central question is:
What can we know from what remains?
That question will guide the season as we explore memory, transformation, careful observation, and the things we choose to preserve. The Gilded Keeper is taking shape within that work as someone who looks closely, distinguishes what is known from what is imagined, and allows an unanswered question to remain open.
Alongside the chapter, I am developing the direction for three autumn companions:
The Fall Almanac, opening out into BellaVille’s places, materials, seasonal customs, and living harvest.
A reflection and keepsake journal, offering space to consider what has ripened, what has changed, and what matters enough to carry forward.
A seasonal workbook, translating observation, memory, color, and meaning into creative work and worldbuilding.
These pieces are still in development. Throughout the season, I will share more of the making: the objects, the rooms, the music, the questions, and the details that gradually become a world.
For now, autumn is already here—in the gift shop, behind the veil, across the bridge, and inside the songs.
